2 of the MANY versions of John Carpenter’s Halloween score. Original(left) Mondo reissue(right). Listed below are the many versions of this great soundtrack up till modern day, that are available with some searching, and a few extra George Washington’s in your wallet. Prices have been ranging, depending on the quality, anywhere between 50 to 500 dollars.

Soundtracks are a passion of mine. Here I’ll make suggestions and reviews of not just my favorites but most influential on the industry. With so many composers to chose from it’s a daunting task. Unlike the mass produced, cookie cutter American Music Scene today, the Film industry is growing in leaps and bounds. Turning out bright new composers that are going in really interesting directions. To me, the music is the most recognizable part of film. Could you imagine John Carpenter’s Halloween without the Haunting Score? Or Psycho without Bernard Herrmann’s strings? Superman without John William’s heroic, triumphant, thematic Orchestra pieces? With companies like Waxworks, Mondo(Death Waltz), and Lunaris bringing all of this music back to us in new and bright packages, new artists stepping up to the plate for the Jackets and inserts, and BEAUTIFUL new color schemes and press patterns, it’s like a brand new product. Dare I say better than the original? Some scores being released for the first time in 80 years, such as Bride of Frankenstein!! Here I will do my best to bring you the best. I hope you enjoy my selections…………….

Superman Soundtrack

John Williams Composer

Christopher Reeve as Superman in the 1978 portrayal of this comic book hero. He pretty much defines the superhero, both on screen and in real life. He was a giant of a human. Just like Bela Lugosi was Dracula, Mr. Reeve was Superman. Period.
